The strategic communication did not only focus on one thing. A strategy would lead to all effects in communication to achieve its goals. According to the Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta’s Lecturer, G. Arum Yudarwati. PhD, communication strategy could not be seen from an organizational perspective, but must also be seen from the public perspective.
If the communication strategy was successful, it would have an impact on the community participation. The important point in strategic communication in encouraging the public participation was the ownership.
“Before achieving the ownership, partnering must be required and must go through a facilitation process, such as training. So, when a company had done its communication strategy, the public would continue to buzz the existing concept,” he said as the presenter at the FISIP UNDIP Master of Communication Science Study Program Webinar entitled “Webinar Strategic Communication: Encouraging Public Participation “which was held virtually on Thursday (12/11/2020).
