Semarang (7/9) – The International Conference on Indonesian Social and Political Enquiries 2022 or the 2022 ICISPE of Faculty of Social Science and Political Science Universitas Diponegoro with the theme Embracing Global Transformation: Collaborative Innovations through Social and Political Research will be held for two days from September 7 – September 8, 2022. The first session of the 2022 ICISPE of FISIP Undip had been held online via Zoom meeting and presented five speakers with different topics of discussion in each presentation. They were Hans K Meyer., Ph.D (Ohio University, USA), Dr Thomas R Seitz (University of Wyoming, USA), Prof Budi Setiyono (Undip), Dr Lynn Rose (The American University of Iraq, Iraq), and Prof Marco Greggi (Universita’ Degli Studi Di Ferrara, Italy),
This event was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr Hardi Warsono, MT, the Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., and a guest of honour, Prof Vandana Padnekar Magal (A Communication Science Lecturer and Researcher of Universitas Georgia State University)
In his speech, the Dean of FISIP Undip conveyed that ICISPE had been initiated in the spirit of developing multidiscipline and inclusive sciences. He also said that innovation was the keyword at this year’s ICISPE. FISIP always provided opportunities for academics, students, and practitioners to write their research and presented them in this forum. He expected that this forum could be a starting point for innovation that could help to solve our problems in society. Besides, he mentioned that lecturers had produced a lot of research and that we needed to pay attention to how much impact we could contribute to society through them.
In the second session of the 2022 ICISPE of FISIP Undip that will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, participants will be given the opportunity to present their papers according to the schedule set by the committee.
